I AM IN NEED OF SUPPORT ! PLEASE ?

although i am 14 months post-op, i have yet to talk with another person that has had or is even considering surgery. 298/155 i have never been so happy, but feeling so alone in my whole life. are there any friends out there?

We are alllllllllll here.... I know of 2 people physically in my area (we just moved here a bit ago) but am in touch with MANY folks on here.... We are a great bunch... Welcome Karen

Hi Sincerely, fellow Georgia Belle here. I live in Carrollton, about an hour from you. I know several folks in my area that have had WLS, but frankly, I get TONS more inspiration, useful information, and a feeling of kindred spirit here than I do anywhere else. The folks on the Georgia board are very friendly and get together about once a month if I'm not mistaken. If it's personal contact you're looking for, I think that would be a great place to get started, but hang around here, too! Becky

Congratulations on your success! I think the advice to check in with your Georgia Forum is a great start. I am in Fla and there are hundreds of us here. Have you ever attended an OH conference? They are great. We are having a conference here in Ft Lauderdale this weekend Sept 15- Sept 17 sponsored by US Bariatrics. Come on down. I will be there. It is an inexpensive conference and hotel package if you are interested. I run a support group dedicated to long term success called the WLS Veterans support group. All 1 year + post ops are welcome.
