Gained weight and feel like a failure
It has been 3 years today since my surgery. I went from 324 to 188...but them my back went out. I have had 4 back surgeries in the past 3 years too. I power walk these days, but have gained 60 pounds! I can't seem to take the weight off. Is it all the medication I am on? ( I am on a tremendous amount) It is because of my eating habits? Both? (Probably) I am so depressed. I have to have another back surgery in a few weeks, what can I do?
Kathy...only you know what you are eating. It takes calories to gain weight. I know its hard. I gain too....but I try soooo hard to keep it under control.
Are you:
Eating fast food?
Drinking cokes?
Eating candy and sweets?
Counting protein?
Taking vitamins?
Just have to sit down and record what you eat every day....or use fitday.com. I use it all the time...I'm using it now...I type in everything I eat and it tells me how many calories I've had. You can do this...I'm trying to stay under 1000 calories a day....and its the hardest thing I've done since surgery.
You still have your pouch...you can still use it to help you lose....I wish you well...

Kathy, I don't have any answers but I wanted to give you my support! You have come so far and have been through so much~please don't feel like a failure! Just keep doing all of the good things you are doing, focus on protein/water/exercise (when you can). Good Luck with your upcoming surgery and keep us posted on how things are going for you!
