Hi Everyone. Missed you all and especially posting daily check in. I had such a GREAT TIME visiting my 2 daughters for the last few days. My older daugter is a career gal, is 30 and lives in Manhattan, and my youngest is 27 married and lives in TN. We all met at in NYC for 3 days and had a blast. Shopping, shopping, eating, eating and up all night. It was soooo much fun, BUT DID I GAIN WEIGHT.... Hate to say it was worth it. I want to say my new goal is to experience that, be more careful, and not gain weight, but would love some responses, is that just part of life and what most of us would do? Happy and relieved to be home, and able to get back on track. Glad to see you all again, missed you. Hugs, Linda

Hi LInda! It sounds like you had a great time! My take on this is that its just part of life and what "normal" (whatever normal means, lol) people do. The important thing is that you're back and ready/willing to get right back on track which means that those pesky pounds will disappear quickly. I know some walk the straight and narrow all of the time, but for me, I want to be able to truly enjoy myself and if part of an event involves eating I will do the best that I can, but if I wanna have a piece of pizza then I'm gonna have a piece of pizza, LOL! An example for me would be around the holidays~I'm not going to set out to eat everything in sight and disobey all of the rules, but if there's something special that I don't indulge in any other time of the year then I will allow myself that simple pleasure in moderation~will it make me gain a few pounds? Maybe, but I will hop right back on the wagon and take it right back off versus diving off the deep end and letting 4lbs turn into 40lbs~does that make sense? Anyway, its great to have you back and I'm glad you had such a wonderful time!!!!!!!! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

Linda, I've gone away and gained weight and then gone away and didn't gain weight. Much of it comes to choices. I was in NY last weekend and ate at a couple of great restaurants but just chose dense proteins, no starchy carbs and didn't have alcohol. I ended up down a half of a pound. Other times I've been away... ate white carbs and ended up with multiple pound gains. I really hate that. I felt much more empowered coming back well-fed having made healthier choices and 1/2 a pound down then having 5+ lb gains in 2 days. Kathy
