I think I can I think I can...
... And I did - I had surgery on August 1, 2005 -- and on August 31, 2006, I hiked the 16 + miles from Yosemite Valley to the top of Half Dome! Started at 5:30 a.m., finished at 6:30 P.M. - 13 hours of continuous hiking. Thank you Dr. Korman!
On September 17th, I will be competing in the Malibu Pediatric Aids Triathlon sprint. Cannot express in words the freedom this surgery has given me.
WOW, that is nothing short o AWESOME!!!!!!
Way to go Cheryl, I always have such admiration for those that EXCEL with their new bodies, like you've done. Ranks right up there with the MARATHON runners, after living a life of super morbid obesity, that's worthy of ultimate respect.
I still can't convince myself that anything that strenuous (sp) is really FUN.... lmao, specially when it comes with buckets of sweating, ya know? Yah yah, I'm a wimp. I stay active, by constantly being on the go, but the minute I start "glistening" ... good lord almighty, get this woman an A/C!!!
Congrats to you on an awesome achievement and good luck on the upcoming "TRI" ... amazing.
