Poll: Stupid things people say after you've had WLS

I was at a post-op regular meeting,, I am 2.5 years out now down from 316lbs,,, there was a woman in my class that I havent seen in about 5 years, (she was inquiring about the surgery),, so I went up to her and said hello,,, she said "Are you gonna get the surgery too?" I was like "NO! I already had it and lost 145lbs!" What a dumb *****!!! The funny thing about it was she was soo sincere,, but she has always been a few fruits short of a fruit basket!!!

A few good ones... "Wow. You were always really funny. Now you are really pretty." "You must have diaharrea all the time." "You were never one of those smelly, out of breath, fat people..." And the winner was asked of my husband: "Your wife is so hot now...how could you have loved her when she was so fat?"

The most stupid thing someone has said to me was, "Well, I could tell you were a big boned person". I lost 175 pounds! I'm a normal sized person! Idiots.

I had someone say to me "I have to loose 25 pounds, too bad I can't do it the easy way like you did"! Yeah, what can I say major surgery was a walk in the park. There was nothing "easy" about the 135 pounds I lost!
