Tuesday check in....

well i had a great day today....so far anyway...i wanted to check in now while i had the time. House starts back tonight and we've got like 4 shows we watch on tuesday night so we'll be watching and tivo-ing shows and watching those later. anyway...i got in 10 miles of WATP and no that's right no bad carb day for me!! here's how my day went: 5 miles WATP B-protein bar, banana w/peanut butter 3 miles WATP S-protein smoothie L-tuna, cheese, and jello 2 miles WATP S-iced coffee no dinner yet but i'm making D-shrimp and crab scampi w/cauliflower...maybe a pudding pack S-protein bar (if blood sugar gets low late tonight) how'd everyone else do?

Pre-B: Protein shake (coffee based) B: Cup o' joe, chicken salad (eh) L: Shredded chicken (cooked in diced tomatoes w/ jalapenos in crockpot) w/ melted cheddar cheese S: One small slice cheddar cheese, protein shake, one slice provolone ..... guessitmates from here on out... D: Green beans w/ almonds and whipped butter on top. More shredded chicken. small piece of SF chocolate swirl cheesecake (thanks, Becky - we still use the same recipe) S: Protein shake Water: 20 oz, 1 16.9 oz Propel, Propel bottle filled with water (16.9), just finished another 20 oz bottle = 73.8 oz Vitamins: Need more calcium tonight before bed Exercise: Naw - I'll go tomorrow morning.

It is from the Hershey's website: http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=8083 I DO NOT make their crust. We mix chopped nuts, cinnamon, splenda and melted butter and make our own. This is a nice cheesecake. Hubby made it for me. Kathy

You Rock! I have eaten like there is no tomorrow today, very hungry and it is not that time of the month! It feels like real hunger not head or I am bored hunger. B-Strive Banana split bar, kinda too sweet but i was stuck in traffic and ate it anyway S- Tuna and three cheese crisps L 1/2 PBJ on wheat (BAD) cup of soup S-other half of PBJ S- 8 Joseph SF chocalate pecan cookies D-Don't know yet, should skip it but I know that will not happen! I need to stop at the store, maybe I will get a rotisserie chicken, that alway****s the spot! S-SF Jello with cool whip free I am on my way to go for a 4 mile walk on the trail by my house. have had 36 oz water and half my vitamins so far.

I'm finally joining . . . after a whole month of "rebelling" with bad carbs, really bad carbs, and just plain overeating. I'm one of the unfortunates for whom nothing, and I mean nothing, bothers my pouch. Not only have I been eating like crap, but my exercise routine has dwindled too (although I haven't abandoned it completely). The result of all this?--10 extra pounds (5 above my TOP "allowable" 5-lb. margin). I can't believe how fast I got out of control and how fast the scale had a hey-day with me. I think after the motivation of our daughter's wedding this summer (my dress was very form-fitting, and it kept me honest this whole past year of being at goal), I just sorta fell apart. B--oatmeal w/ blueberries & scoop of protein S--cottage cheese w/ dab of rf cool whip & a dash of sf dry jello L--4 oz. mix of chopped ham, shred cheese, little crumbled bacon, tiny bit of lt. mayo; slice of whole wheat bread; apple S--protein bar; small handful almonds D--tuna, shred cheese, little lt. mayo; 3/4 serving of soy crisps S--plan to have cut-up apple rolled in choc. protein powd mixed w/ splenda--then I just eat the rest of the powd mixture Also went to the gym after work--cardio 45 min.; weight machines 20 min. Not a good day. I guess it's a carryover from the holiday weekend. Ugh! B - Bacon, egg, cheese biscuit L - Grilled fish, steamed veggies, fruit mix D - about 8 pork dumplings, 4 -5 strawberries An hour and a half on the treadmill at 3.0 mph and varying degrees of incline. The scales have let me know this morning that they know I've let all this white flour in. Thank goodness tomorrow is another day. I guess I need to read up on this insulin resistance stuff and see if that's what's going on with me. Becky
