Extra Skin???
Okay, I am not sure if this is stupid or not...I am two years, two months out and I just ramped up my workout because I realized that I wasn't even winded anymore, much less breaking a sweat. Weight loss is pretty stable and I'm doing this for health. Anyway, all of a sudden, it seems like my loose skin is "falling off my body." Places that weren't saggy before now seem a mess. I had to change surgeons because mine moved away and I would have asked his office but this new surgeon's office doesn't make me feel very welcome. Does this make sense or am I nuts (always a real possibility)? Or is this the curse of the two year mark??? Thanks, in advance.

Hey, congratulations! Actually, I think it's pretty normal. I started ramping up my exercise at about the 8 month mark, and I suddenly began to develop really loose skin. However, the good news is that some of it seems to adjust over time.
The bad news is I still have about 35 pounds to go, so I can expect more sagging, I'm afraid. You are near or at your goal, I would think, so you will probably experience some sagging, and then some adjustment. You are probably losing a lot of inches.
Keep up your protein, water, and vitamin intake!
Hey Judi,
Your body is still adjusting, shifting, muscle mass growing, fat slimming, etc. I was told by a plastic surgeon that it would take 2ish years @ goal before your skin would settle in to where it's gonna be. (go figure a "plastic" would say "hold off"!)
Now I've been at goal 3 years -- I look at photos from same weight in 03 and I LOOK so different now at 159 than I did then at 159-162 !
I've not had plastics. I had blood clot issues and don't want the risk.
Heck, I'm 50 and deserve some extra, loosy goosy skin! It took awhile, but I am at peace with it. Now, if I had rash or infection issues, that would be an entirely different story, but that's not been an issue, at all.
Keep in mind you're still settling into your new body. It takes time. Keep making the decision to focus on what you CAN do to remain healthy and your body will keep doing her best too!
Just my humble opinion!
Congrats on your success!!!
