Day 3 - carb control!!

sounds like a good day. it's ok from what i understand to do the complex carbs...it's those nasty simple white carbs that are bad!! great job!

Well, I completely feel like giving up. Once again, the MINUTE I start even thinking about writing down food, cutting carbs, I just seem to get obsessed with food, and eat everything in sight. I feel like a failure, I guess I am going to have to have mental help, but feel helpless where that is concerned, because I cannot afford to have to pay for professional help. I do not know what to do next.

PLEASE...don't give up. you can do this!! when you feel like you need to eat find something else to occupy your time. when i feel like i'm gonna go for something i shouldn't i chew gum or start walking. i'm here if you need me to help push you along...you can do this!! just start with cutting back the carbs...eat the "good" carbs. if you need bread go for the low carb bread or pasta...just make better choices. go one step at a time. start by either cutting back the carbs or writing down your food choices. maybe you need to see it in writing how many carbs your taking in and how those calories affect you before you can cut back on the carbs...just try one or the other for now and then move on and add the next thing. just whatever you do...don't give up on yourself!! i'm here for you...email me if you need me!! Thanks for the kind words....I am sitting here drinking a big glass of water, and trying to get over the carb binge..They (carbs) made me feel very bloated, weepy, everything that goes with having a bad carb day ---- I am just two weeks out from having a hysterectomy also. Kept ovaries, so not too many hormone problems, but some I guess...I do have to remember that I am not going to just feel better overnight from that too, but I could take better care of myself, and I will try to just let go of the "stuff" from today and move on...Thanks for the wonderful support you give on here. And, I will e-mail you if I get to feeling that bad again....DeAnna.

it was a good eating day. No pretzles again! not that I didn't think about them several times. I find that red meet lays hard on my tummy. I stick with fish and chicken. I've found the key is to take small bites and chew, chew, chew. If I dont' chew it to death it just sticks on the way down then lays there like a rock the rest of the day. So far so good! Checking in and having company in this boat helps so much. I'm recording everything on FitDay too. That really helps me stay on track too.
