Day 3 - carb control!!

I totally understand your carbs "sitting better on the pouch" I am the exact same way!
BUT- I know a woman who had stomach stappling years back, and she gained her weight back because all she ate was carbs. I keep that in mind, and know it's not worth the gain to me.
I have a hard time with meats, can't each chicken in any form or fashion. Steaks can sit really well sometimes and other times it comes right back up. Just keep trying I know exactly how you feel. If you would like to email each other for daily support here is my email. [email protected]

well we're all going through this right now. i personally had a harder time with the carbs but they tasted so good i didn't care. the carbs made my belly feel bloated all the time. i too put on about 10 pounds over the past couple months and my clothes started getting to snug so i said no way am i doing this! you just need to take a couple days to "decarb" yourself. i don't really have a suggestion for you about the protein being hard on your tummy. have you tried things like cottage cheese and cheese or eggs instead of meat for some meals? maybe they won't set as heavy in the tummy
Good suggestion, going to have to start (re-start) decarbing myself today!!! Will have to have lots of fish, cheese, protein drinks, etc....It is hard because carbs taste sooo good to me right now and I just want to eat and eat. Had hysterectomy 2 weeks and 2 days ago, been just eating what I want for the past two weeks (really past year), so really struggling (as many on here have already heard), but I just found this check in place, and will be checking in tomorrow -
Today, I have had an organic drink (has organic cane sugar), and some fruit/nut trail mix, mostly ate the pinnaple, banana chips, and nuts out of a small pack. Had two pieces of toast - one cinnamon and sugar, one cheese - so not off to a good start, but just read this board, found the check in, and will have baked fish for lunch - and we are doing Mexican tonight, will have chilles releno (sp) (cheese stuffed pepper, lightly fried), black beans, lettuce, etc. Will stay away from the taco shells and other carbs....
So, one day at a time again! I want this extra 50 pounds to start melting away. Think I can start getting on the treadmill for a light workout probably starting this weekend.
another good alternative with mexican is doing a taco salad with steak or chicken and make it naked...without the taco shell. well today isn't off to a good start..you're right but it's never too late to get started or just make this the last day and start fresh tomorrow!! and exercise is key! that's for sure...i'm very thankful that i never lost that...i cut back when i hit my goal but i've stepped it up again. i've already done 5 miles of walk aerobics today..gonna do about 3 more today too. gotta keep that body moving and it takes my mind off food!

Overall not a bad day... as ususal 2 cups of coffee, 1 decaf soda + 48 oz pure water....
scale said down another lb dropping me to 166... from 170 a few days ago... So Im very pleased...
Have been taking the stairs more at work too!!

630~2cups of coffee, and half a energy granola bar
730~diet rock star energy drink
800-1030~1 hr of kickbox class, 1 hour in wt room with my personal trainer, and 30 minutes on eliptical machine
1100~protein shake with frozen banana blended in
100~1cup of homemade chicken gumbo i dont put rice in my bowl
200~2miles on the treadmill walk/run intervales
330~1 cheese stick with ham wraped around it
600~2 baked chicken tenderlions on 1 cup of salad greens 3 grape tomatoes with italian dressing
I drank 2 liters of crystal light threw out the day.Im in the process of trying to loose those last 15 or so lbs, very hard ! I have been eatting way too may bad carbs two days without them and i already FEEL better!!

wow dawn...you're a workout machine!! i thought about kickboxing for exercise but i'm so clutzy...i'd never make it. i do good to do the moves in the leslie sansone videos. i feel better these past few days without all the carbs too. i still do some low carb bread/tortillas but my belly doesn't feel so bloated already! i like that!!

I'm not sure I'm controlling the carbs too well, but at least I'm staying away from most simple carbs.

Aerobics 45 minutes in the morning, walked Wal-Mart for 45 minutes at lunch, treadmill for 30 minutes in evening. I hate exercise but could probably only eat 500 calories a day to maintain if I didn't exercise.
