I am 17 months out and have been at goal a few months now with no problems..until recently. About 2 months ago the gas thingy started. I have changed my diet, eliminated foods, taken smaller bites, chewed till mush, used all obligatory gas aids to no avail. Anyone else have this sneak up on them?

Hey Vi ~ I will be 2 years out next month and the bullet you thought you had dodged has never really left me. To this day, I get periods of gas, along with the other symptoms/signs of a newbie. It's strange as all get out, but it's just a fact of life with me. I now keep Gas-X with me at all times since I don't know when it's going to hit. Good luck... Jules

I find my gas is much worse when I am constipated.

Try a good acidophilus (billions per capsule). I take it every day -- and when I don't take it I have much more gas. It keeps the intestinal tract in balance. Deb

I didn't have any problems with gas until I started adding carbs back to my diet at 18 months. It doesn't take a lot of them to give me gas.
