Help! I don't know what the problem is, but lately I feel like eating everything in sight, especially in the late afternoon/evening. I am not putting weight on, but if I keep this up it'll be skyrocketing! This is new, because up until about 2 weeks ago I hardly ate enough to get my protein in. And no, I'm not pregnant. Any advice?? Bekki

Hi Rebecca...must be the time frame of being a post-op. I had surgery just a few weeks prior to you & I can totally relate to you. I need to eliminate all the carbs I pick at, get back to my protein, & start exercising. I do NO exercising right now. I am tired ALL the time. Looking for a gym since I just moved & am starting to get settled for now. Hang in there...get back to basics. Angela in TX

Hey folks, I'm 17 months out and have faced this same problem. What I had done... I was eating more carbs and less protein......sorry, I get bored easily...so when I took a long hard truthful look at my daily food intake, I made some changes and have been doing better. But what it cost me was huge. I spent 6 months with no weight loss to speak of because I thought I was normal and started sneaking in foods I knew I wasn't suppose to eat. It started as "just as a little taste", then turned into bigger bites, then into full meals of almost no protein. I know, it's hard to face the truth, and maybe my problem is not yours, it's just a suggestion, some place to look. So you might want to go back and review your first few weeks of your surgery and eat like that until you get back in control. Remember, protein is the first thing you should eat off your plate. I really does make a difference. Good luck to you, hope you find what's triggered your new eating pattern.

Hi Bekki, it appears all of us at the 15-20 month post-op stage are dealing with grazing. I was freaking out about a month ago as I just wanted to eat all afternoon everyday and didn't like it at all. I started looking at my meals earlier in the day and found my carb intake was slightly high, I changed my meals and the desire to graze has been reduced significantly. There is the PMS week though that still challenges me allot. If you must graze be sure to choose protein and not carbs. I do hope this isn't something that will continue to haught us and it's a "stage" we go through. Best wishes, Dana
