It's a pretty common complaint. My theory is that once you get 2 years out and can eat almost anything, you do! Some of us come to our senses quickly and some not so quickly. For me, it was a 6 pound gain in May. I finally have it off and now need to get rid of the next 6 to get to my goal. You need to get back to basics. Protein, water, exercise. If you don't already, you might want to track your intake on fitday.com. It may help you see where you can make some changes. I said in the beginning of this, that I would never allow myself to gain more than 2 pounds. I was really freaked by the 6 and even more freaked by my attitude about it. Sort of like, oh well. It's only 6 pounds. And gee, I've lost 110. What's 6 pounds in the greater scheme of things. Well, for me, it's huge. I felt awful about myself. I was beating myself up for my lack of self control. I think the key is to set small goals that you can make. Like eliminate one problem food from your diet. Then another, and another. If carbs make you go crazy, get rid of them cold turkey. Carbs are bad. Throw out the crackers, pretzels and other junk food. Give your body healthy foods. Take your vitamins and calcium. Drink your water. If you are over eating at specific times of the day, figure out what the trigger is and try to change your reaction to it. It seems to me that at 2 years, the head stuff really comes into play. At least for me it has. Right now I have that under control. But who knows tomorrow. It's a constant battle and I can never let my guard down. Hope some of my ramblings may help you! Lyn 262/148/142
