5 yrs ago today...
5 years ago today I had my first WLS. I say first because on the 19th I had my second WLS to repair a tear/leak, which landed me in ICU for several days. So, since I sort of have 2 surgiversaries... and because it is has turned out in the long run to be a success I'm going to celebrate from today through the 19th!!!
It is a real thrill to have said good-bye to 175 lbs forever. Without WLS I don't know if I would be living life to the fullest, and with energy and good health.

awesome the amount of weight you lost. i am preop so you encourage me. i realize there may be some challenges but everyone i talk to says they would do it again in an instant

Woo Hoo Tracy!!! hi tracy just wanted to say congratulation on your weight loss. I am 2 years and 152 lost. it is great i have 30 more lbs to go. so pray it is not wanting to come off. how did you find out about your trouble on the 2nd surgery were you having problems? i will keep you in my prayers. I had my first WLS on Aug 16th, then I started to have cramps and became really out of it, and was running a high fever. They finally did some tests and found the leak and I went back into surgery on Aug 19th. They fixed everything up but I had peritonitis and was in ICU for 4 days; and in the hopsital a total of 11 days. It was really scary but I'm HAPPY to say that I'm doing great and I'm glad I made the decision to have WLS.
