How Many Lbs?

I have that same problem with certain foods. My body is really carb sensitive. I can eat 1400 calories of protein fruits and veggies and the scale will just drop down a few pounds overnight. I can eat 1400 calories in a day and have it made up of more simple carbs and the scale will bounce up a few pounds overnight. So, anyway, it took me a little while to figure out what the heck was going on with the scale bouncing up and down so drastically overnight, but now that I know that and keep the simple carbs to a minimum I don't fluctuate quite as bad. Isn't that weird how our bodies will do weird things? I always was told it was calories in vs calories out, but for me it makes a difference what makes up those calories. You would think 1400 calories is 1400 calories, but my body doesn't agree. It has to be picky LOL. Melissa

Couldn't agree more with you, Melissa. I'm very carb sensitive. Spoke to my surgeon about it and he said he has patients that are ultra sensitive and I happen to be one of them. His comment was "simple/white carbs aren't good for anyone". He may have even called them evil. LOL! I do not seem to have the same problem with complex carbs. I can eat things like sweet potato for example with no problem which is obviously very healthy. Kathy

Hi Kathy and Melissa! I find the same thing~some foods just make me gain overnight so I have to try to avoid them. If I make the "mistake" of buying myself Wheat Thins I will see a gain~I love them though and have to have them once in awhile, LOL. I think 5lbs is a reasonable range. I would love to drop to 145lbs and have 150 as my ceiling, but I'm not sure if I can get that low. Right now I stick right around 150lbs most days with slight fluctuations here and there. I just want to stay on top of things daily so that 2lbs doesn't turn into 20lbs, KWIM?!?!?! Thanks for your input! Tracy B 328/150 5'9"

I've been teetering up and down the same 1.5 - 2 lbs for a couple weeks and I'm fine with that. My surgeon's goal for me was 160 - I said 150 and I'm at 153-155, so anywhere in that range works for me. I really don't care if I ever hit 150, but I think I will. Today happens to be a 155 day, so I made sure to bring plenty of protein foods and snacks today to try to stay on track so it doesn't keep going up. I don't know about you all, but I've been below 200 lbs for about 8 months now and the fact that my weight starts with a ONE still gets me! LOL

I go between 160 and 165, although I had been playing with 155-160 (which I would like to get back to, but since I have been eating more... you know how that goes!)

Hi Tracy, I weigh myself everyday...yes!( I am a Scale *****). I do this to stay on target if I see the scale jump 2lbs over nite...Then I know I need to watch my Bread carbs...My Body usually goes betwee 155 and 157 but I have maintained this weight for about a month now. I want to drop another 10 lbs before my PS in 6 to 9 months. I have been exercising my little A$$ off. This really helps me stay in control of my weight. I drink my water everyday and my protein as well. If I see the scale go up 2lbs I up my protein and exercise more to get back down. IT seems like my Metabolism likes the exercise and the extra protein. I hope this answers your question. Good luck and may I add you look AWESOME! Missy~~~
