Many thanks to all who posted messages of support. It went off w/o a hitch. As it turns out, the RC tears simply were not present as the MRI seemed to indicate. The bicipital tendon tear was much worse than expected. The good news from that is the PT from the biceps issue is far less than trying to rehab the RC. As I write this, it is dawning on me that my WLS began three years ago almost to the minute. When I think of the change wrought by that, even I am speechless. Again, Thanks Jay

Good to know your surgery went well. Too bad about your major league baseball career. Thanks for your kind words of support re: madness, mindlessness, and age old issues. How kind of you to think of others when you were facing the surgeon's knife! Congratulations on long-term success whilst battling short term recovery. Karen

Some times life's path narrows and almost forces one to reflect. I always marvel at the magic of anesthesia. Any Dawin-eligible imbicille can knock you out. It takes a far more skill to bring someone back to life. Know that my concerns lie with your comrades of the IDF. J

Jay, Congratulations on the reduced PT. I'm putting off any surgery on my shoulder And just 'babying it' until Thanksgiving. The Doc says as long as I'm up for the occasional pain And steroid shots, there's no need to rush. Just as long as I don't do further damage. My occupation allows for that easily. Hope you're hitting on all cylinders soon! Best Wishes- Dx
