Hey everyone, remember when we were little and we'd call our friends and say "Can I come play over at your house?" Well that's what I'm doing now! I wanna come over from the main bored (that's not a typo, lol) and see if what you guys have going over here would be better for me. I'm just over a year out now, down 115 lbs or so, but not where I wanna be. I want to lose about 35-40 more lbs and it's become a real struggle now. I need some knowledge and advice from people who do understand where I am. So, anyway, here I am. Can I play too?

Hi Kris, welcome to the grads board. I haven't been on the main board to much lately myself. I do go to support when time allows but at 18 months post-op my life has changed and I face different challenges, I want the opinions and help from longer term post-ops. Congrats on the weight loss . Dana

Hi Dana! It's been a really long time!! You are looking just awesome!!! I too have been on the Main Messageboard a long time. I also notice that many of the January 2005 members rarely post recently. I'm so glad that I found this board for grads!! I am almost 19 months post-op, so I guess it's time for me to move on..... I have also been visiting the Plastic Surgery board since I had a TT on March 6, 2006. I still need to lose 15-20 more pounds, but I am actually pretty happy with where I am now, even if I never lose another pound. Having been given the opportunity to have had the lap rny is truly a blessing for me. I had so many health problems prior to my losing the weight. I really need to start using my digital camera and post a picture of myself!! Everyone is probably wondering who "Pat Nicely" is? I have to make that a priority on my list of things to do. I hope that everything is fine with you. As I said, you are looking simply wonderful Take care and God Bless you and yours. Aloha, Pat

I agree with everyone else. I'm a September 2005 baby, and like you, not quite where I want to be, but have been finding that a lot of what's on the main board isn't too relevant to me anymore, so I've been hanging here and on the September board. Fewer posts, but you'll find that most are relevant to where you're at now. Welcome!

Welcome come over any time! The main board is good to a point of our journey but like everyone else said our needs change and we need to have support and understanding on different things now. I have about 60 lbs I would like to drop. Not much comes off....I finally knocked off the gain I had last month.....I don't go over 3-5 lbs but a gain is a gain in my book. The sooner I know about it the sooner I can start working on it. Its hard to get anything but that off. I hope once life settles down for me that I will find a way to get a few more pounds off. I wish there was a routine that we could all use and it would work for us! I would not be greedy....a pound or two a month off would be good. Debbie
