Dough belly?
Anyone have this happen? Or have any ideas....
This is weird. I'm 13 months out. I'm at goal. I wiegh 125. I haven't gained...according to the scale....
But my belly is getting BIGGER.... I swear it. It has been relatively empty feeling loose skin for a long time now. But over the past month or so... it's getting bigger. It's not so empty and loose feeling anymore... It bulges out and hangs out like dough rolls over the tops of my pants..... in pants that it never did that before in.... Not just a little.... a LOT. I look like I put a good 10-15 pounds on in the middle!
I'm so confused. I haven't gained a pound - but yet - my stomach looks like I'm living on doughnuts (which i'm not!).
Advice? Ideas? Seen this before?? Is it just me??
Same here..im 2.5 yrs out at goal have a closet full of size 8..and guess what I wear my 10s which i have 3 pair of jeans. Im discusted...my middle and waist has gained inches. I guess its not exerciseing ...not that i ever was good at that. But think im gonna have to try. I cant afford PS so the only way to go for me is exercise...i cant afford to buy a new closet full of clothes either.
I feel really fat!!!

I have days like this, but its not a constant thing for me. On days when I eat any amount of carbs my belly seems to swell and look bigger like you're describing. If I cut back on the carbs then it looks normal the next day. So, if I'm planning a big night out I don't eat any carbs, LOL! Not sure if this helps at all, but I can understand what you're saying.

Add me to the list. My weight is staying pretty steady, but I've added at leat 1.5" to my abdomen measurement and some days I look (at least to me) like I'm in the early stages of pregnancy. Some of my clothes have had to be set aside and I hate that!
I do think carb consumption has ALOT to do with it. This past week, I've severely restricted my carbs (which I'd gotten VERY lax about) and I can already see some minimal difference.
It's just so frustrating since that's what makes you look fat again! Bleh!
YES YES YES! This happens to men too, and with me, it *IS* the carbs! When I cut back on them again, over a period of time it "shrinks down" again - but again, this is me, and not everyone. I have learned to just live with very minimal carbs. SO many dieticians say that the carbs are just fine, however, when eaten (even in MODERATION!), the weight begins to creep - - and if not the weight, then the "bulging"...it s a no-win scenario with carbs as far as I'm concerned.
Have a great afternoon!

I think it is the carbs too. I just started adding them into my diet again about a year ago and the last 8months, I noticed about a 10 pound weight gain and a very swollen belly and mid section. I hate it. I am gonna have to go back to low low carbs.
If anyone has a good day to day plan of meals, I would love a little help.
