Started Prempro

Ladies, have any of you used Prempro, its a hormone replacement therapy. My gynnie started me on it a week ago for severe hot flashes and night sweats, haven't had a period in 6 months etc etc... I seem to want to eat more, is it in my head or could it be the hormones? So far I have been able to keep it under control, but its hard. Give me some help if you all can. Thanks so much, in advance. Rhonda, I started on Prempro when I was about 6 mo. post-op. I imagine it's entirely possible that you're wanting to eat more because of the hormones, but I didn't notice that effect. I was just relieved to have my symptoms greatly lessened. NOW, at almost 2 yrs. out, I get the munchies all the time, but I'm sure it's not the Prempro. In my case, it's just cause I gradually relaxed my standards for what and how much I put in my mouth! Boy, is this ever hard work! Jo 295/155ish (at goal)

Der Rhonda, I have been taking Prempro for two or three years now and did not notice any change in appetite or cravings at that time. Unmet emotional needs, stress, anxiety etc. are more likely to make me go looking for contraband! It is hard anyway - with or without prempro or a lot of other stuff, especially steroids.
