Hi Everyone - I'm 2.5 yrs post-op and until this point have had B12 injections from my WLS surgeon every 6-weeks. Unfortunately he has now moved out of state and my PCP charges $55 per injection which I cannot afford (insurance wont cover it). As such, I need to find an over-the-counter B12 and am looking for recommendations....I've heard that you should take B12 under the tongue - is this true? Again, any recommendations is much appreciated! Thanks, Heather. 255/156.5/163.5

I take a sublingual b12 that goes under the tongue~I got it at my local health foods store. It was very affordable. My b12 has always checked out fine. Tracy B 328/150 5'9

I get mine at Walmart - think the brand is Rexall. Each tablet is 2500 mcg so we both take a fair amount. Labs are good so far... hubby at 2 years post-op, me at 14 months post-op. Yes, they are sublingual (under tongue). Kathy

I know you asked for an OTC B12, but my nut gave me a script for Nascobal. It is a prescription B12 Nasal spray. If you can get this, the company will reimburse you for your copay. Good luck. Go to their website to check it out. S

I use Nature's Bounty sublingual Liquid B-12 complex. Walgreens drug sells it here in AZ. flavor is not bad, and it works! Mom Bear
