Heat=Weight Fluctations?

My girlfriend was over today and she was complaining that since its gotten pretty hot here, her weight seems to have gone up a bit (she has not had wls, but has lost quite a bit of weight). I haven't noticed any difference in my weight due to the heat and humidity, but I was wondering if anyone else has?? I thought maybe she was retaining water b/c of it, but who knows. Anyway, just wanted to ask to see if this is common or not? Tracy B 328/150 5'9

Water helps regulate body temperature so if it is really hot and humid I would think that would affect the amount of water our body holds. Kathy

My weight has always fluctuated with the weather. When it is hot I retain water and as soon as it cools down my ankles look normal again. Recently we had a hot spell and what I thought was turning into a plateau was actually water retention. I stepped on the scale after a cool night and I had dropped three pounds overnight. The same thing happened during my pregnancy. Christine H
