Ok, so I am laying down on the bed with my legs in the air (all the wrinkles and stuff gravitate to your hips when you do this - so your legs look smooth and awesome). And I wonder... how do I know all the fat is gone? Is it fat on my upper thighs or is it extra skin? How do you know? Laura (at goal, I think?)

Laura, that's a GREAT question! I have no clue either! My legs also look better when I lay like that, LOL, or if I stand up and pull up the tops of them then they look great~I'm not have a LBL however! Well, I'll be checking back to see the responses! Tracy B 328/150 5'9

Ok, I confess after I read this I had to go try it, and hubby walked into the room wondering what the heck I was doing. You're right, the legs do look better!! It reminded me of what the plastic surgeon showed me my legs would look like if I had a thigh lift. (it was neat he gathered the extra skin somehow and said "see, this is how it should/will look". So that leads me to believe that the fats gone and it's extra skin. Now if I only had the money to get the PS... although laying around in bed with your legs up????? Tracy A.

Can you imagine how fantastic we would look if we walked around on the ceiling?

I'm not sure if it's fat or skin but I can assure you I had a lot of what I thought was fat hanging in the panni area when my weight loss stopped. After my tummy tuck was done (22 pounds removed) my tummy is flat as a board and tight. I've had a tummy problem all my life, even when I was thin, so this is beyond belief. My guess is that there is still some fat attached to the skin but it can be removed with plastic surgery. The plastic surgeon told me I could become anorexic and still have that flap of tissue. She didn't indicate if it was skin or fat but assured me it would be gone after surgery.

It could be skin with empty fat cells inside. Everyone is born with a certain number of fat cells. As we become obese, the fat cells divide and multiply and grow in size. As we lose weight, they can shrink but do not go away. So what you are left with are empty fat cells. I hope that makes sense.
