I have a question on how many calories I should be eating a day. My doctor says that I am ok, but I feel that I am eating a lot. I am female and 5'7". Oh, I excercise for 40 minutes 5 times a week and walk on top of that (normally 3-4 miles) I am 28 years old and really need to figure out what the norm is. Please help

I am 5'6" and I fluctuate between 146 and 150 on a daily basis. Ive found by eating 1600 calories keeps me at this rate, but sadly I dont exercise and Im sure if you are exercising 5 days a week you could add some to that. It depends on too how much you weigh right now. The more you weigh, the more calories it takes to maintain that weight, or vice versa. Hope this helps, Candy

I'm 31 years old, I'm 5'7" and weigh 195 pounds. I exercise vigorously six days a week for 45 minutes to an hour. My exercise includes walking and running on the treadmill, the eliptical and circuit training. Currently I am eating between 1600 and 1900 calories. My goal is to lose to 175 by the end of the year. I'm no longer trying to lose aggressively because I'm not sure I can even lose anymore. I started out at 374 pounds and have lost over 175 pounds. I plateaued for six months before my plastic surgery and then lost 12 pounds after surgery. I think that I just have alot of extra skin and fat cells on my legs and that I won't lose any until I can either have a thigh lift or lipo done. At any rate, that calorie range tends to work for me when I stick to it.

Hello! I'm 38, 152lbs, 5'9". I generally work out 5x's per week~5 mile walk away the pounds dvd. I average around 1800cal per day~sometimes more sometimes less~just depends on if I'm hungry that day or not. I've been maintaining this weight for several months now. Hope this helps!
