Through PS & Doing Great!!

Thanks to all for the support and Well Wishes! I got back from my PS yesterday around noon. Super Smooth surgery and so far an easy recovery. Our Sweet Southern Lady - DeeDee, Visited me in the hospital, along with her Hubby. And in keeping with her Southern Graciousness She brought a delightful fruit basket. Also, in keeping with her humor, it contained A Tube Sock arrangement! No, I'll not be modeling "A" tube Sock! Thanks DeeDee! I'm having Far Less Pain than I expected And don't even need to take it except to go to bed at night. Any in the Memphis area, The Doc, Goshorn, and the "Plastic Surgery Group," are great! It's a big conglumeration Of Plastic Surgeons that are connected with the Baptist Memorial Organization. Great insurance office folk. And Pre-Op staff. Very communicative and good listeners, also Goshorn comes down On the "safe side" when it comes to surgery. He went the "extra mile" with pre-op warnings and instructions And is very giving of his time. Never made me feel like Just another patient. The results? A little swelling but I can tell It's going to be A very thin scar already. 3 pounds removed!! I have a drain in for the next week then "DONE!" Glad to be across this bridge and on to healing! I'm so glad that you are doing well!! Did we go under the knife on the same day? I had my 2nd and FINAL round of PS on Wednesday. It doesn't sound like I am coping as well as you are!!! I've been in horrible pain with severe buyer's remorse. Where can it go from here but uphill? I'm thrilled you're over this mountain!!! See you soon, Vanessa

Vanessa, I was in on Thursday right after you. Sorry you're having a rough recovery. I'm having some "stinging" pain at the incision But only when I get up from sitting. It's that "bend at the waist" thing that still 'smarts.' Not a lot of swelling, and I'm already going for walks. Are you doing the Ice Packs for swelling? That seems to help many. You are DA MAN! DA BOMB! Walks? Already? Wow! How fantastic!!! You people amaze me with your stamina!!!! I have the ice going full power ahead. My entire head is wrapped. I look like a mummy holding all the ice packs in place with gauze and tape. What a sight!!! I suggested someone take a picture and then quickly recanted. I'm going in tomorrow for the staples and sutures to be removed. I can hardly wait....though I'm a bit concerned about the pain involved. Having the drains removed had me a little loud and would have embarassed DeeDee to the point that I'm sure she'd swear I am NOT from the South! I will try to make her proud tomorrow. I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well. Following your trail to PS has been a pleasure and treasure. Are you all through now? Are we finished? I fired everyone from the Plastic Surgeon to the Surgical Center/Hospital and told them to never speak to me again regardless of how much I beg and/or plea or even show cash. Keep up the great work!
