It takes a while to see the "real" you. My surgeon said it takes about 2 years for your mind to catch up to your body. I'm 26 months out and my mind is now seeing what my body really is. I'm not sure that's a good thing tho!
Stay true to your program. Don't think, I'm a year out, I can eat whatever I want! YOU CAN NOT EAT WHATEVER YOU WANT! Yes, I shouted. That's the biggest problem I've had. It's like a switch was turned on or off at a year and I've struggled ever since. I wish I could go back to that time and never tried eating sugar, junk food etc. I found that I don't dump. Bad thing. If you don't try to find out if you do, then you won't know you don't and then will be less willing to try it and risk dumping.
You have done really well! I'm excited for you! It is an exciting journey to see your body change and how life changes right with it.

Hey Robert ... I know what you're talking about ... I often feel heavier than I was when I first started ... I don't see a difference ... and I often say they should offer partial labotomies with gastric bypass!
I still walk "around" things that I might actually fit through ... I haven't gotten rid of any of my old clothes (cause I might just need them ... like next week!).
For my birthday, a friend gave me this book by Thomas F. Ca****'s "The Body Image Workbook, an 8-step program for learning to like your looks" ... I haven't started it yet (obviously), but hopefully I'll get into it and it will do some good.
You've done so well ... kudos to you my friend!
