Still struggling
Well, I have gained back a pound from my Plateau Buster's experience. It was too rigid. Besides, I don't think I am as much on a plateau as I am on a gain cycle. I am really struggling with this. Some chaotic evil arch-deamon stocked our candy machine at work with Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies and I have to keep repeating to me: They don't taste as good as I look thin...
I was at Safeway last night and thought I might treat myself to ice cream. I have to be really careful with ice cream as I dump on it. But I grabbed a box of Dove Bars with Almonds and looked at the sugar content. Wowee!!! I forget how much sugar is in one of those, but they are 270 calories each!! Then I got to thinking about the "Before Time" and how I used to stop by the grocery and get an 8 piece fried chicken from the deli, then a box of those Doves, go home by my lonesome and pig out. I would eat about 6 pieces of the 8 piece, then polish off the whole box of Dove Bars in one sitting! Then I would wonder why I was so fat!
Needless to say, I bought some sugar-free fruit pops, salad, cottage cheese, and a couple of cans of white meat chicken in water.

I hear ya for sure.... sometimes I long for a whole pizza and a bag of Oreo cookies... my old favorite Friday night date...... but there's no way I could even do a smaller version of that... and thank God!!!! So when I have to have something.... I opt for the sf fudgesicles, or sf ice cream bars (safeway brand)... they do the trick and with a lot less calories.... I still miss the old faves tho... I just know I can't do that any more.....
Why do we crave junk? Guess I always will.....
Good luck fighting those BWLS "Before Weightloss Surgery" times.....

I think we will always have to struggle. Our bodies are always going to try and regain what we lost. But dont give up we can do it. Try not walking by the machine it is evil and wants your soul!!!! stay far away!!!!!!!!
the diet you were on may have caused you to lose alot of water weight and when I lose water weight and over indulge in high sugar or carbs causes me to put it right back on.
good luck. trust your pouch go back to basics. I know we keep saying it but we have to trust it. It is a good tool we just have to learn to use it right.
