Robert - look at what you have done, you have done the hardest thing of all - you are reaching out. Please do not do anything you - and all of us will regret, if it comes to it tonight call 911, if you can wait until the morning call your doctor's office and be honest about the amount of pain you are in. Please keep us updated - Ann

Robert, I am 5 years post-op and had gained back 25 lbs and was also feeling very depressed. I did see a doctor and went on Paxil. I also had a procedure done called "schlero". It is where they make adhesions where the stomach meets the intestines and it makes the opening smaller so you eat less. I had this done on 12-8-05 and have lost 15 lbs so far. Check with your BTC doctor to see if he does this procedure or can recommend someone who does. Praying for you, Heidi

Robert, I'm a 3 year post-op. I can tell you, only from my experience, That unless there is something mechanically wrong with your RNY, It will still work. I know a number of guys with health problems That limit their exercise greatly. 30 lbs? You can overcome that. One of the guys on the men's board is 8 years post-op And has started loosing a 60 pound regain, And is having amazing success at it! It's great to see other men out here. We make up such a small percentage (12%) Of the people having Weight Loss Surgery, But tend to reach our goal weights quicker and with less Or at least Different hassles than the Gals Due to Male physiology. The "Keeping off?" Guys tend to have different "Head-Issues" than the Gals... Drop by the Men's Message Board And check out what other men like you are going through. It's a diverse make up of Dads, Singles, Older, younger, etc... Pre-Ops, Post-Ops new and some Old (at Goal) Post-Ops. Lap-Banders, RNY'ers DS, etc... Great bunch of guys with the mutual understanding That WLS for Men can be a totally different Journey. Stop by to add your questions, advice, opinions, and info at- http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/men/ It's Great to know we're not so alone, And that there are others pulling for you. You can turn this around, and get back the Fun of Living! Even in the face of ongoing health problems. Hope to see you 'Round the Boards! Best Wishes- Dx
