vertical banded gastroscopy?

i am considering wls. any scariness abou vbg? or stories.....i think that i have been talked out of lap band

The use of the VGB has largely been eclipsed by the dominance of the RNY, the so-called 'Gold Standard' of WLS. A highly enthusiastic minority seem to feel quite strongly regarding the DS. It is quite different from the the RNY, and in a nutshell, relies more on malbsorbsion than does the RNY. What aspect of the lap-band dissuades you? Nowhere Man/PH/Jay

I don't think the vbg is being done anymore. Are you referring to the VG or vertical gastrectomy? Have you considered the DS? Check out this board for another option: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/posts.html Laurie
