I'm so glad to see that someone else views themself as normal. My father lost over 100 pounds years ago without surgery and he struggles with cravings and weight fluctuations just like I do. It's a normal part of life that EVERYONE deals with. Normal people gain weight on vacation. Normal people are hungier at some times more than others. I eat snacks every day too. Most of the time it's sweet. I count my calories and if for some reason I go over my alloted amount I just add in some extra exercise. That's just part of life. I am always more hungry one week before and during my period. I give myself grace during that time. It usually resolves itself after my period is over and I can get back to healthy eating. Sometimes I even gain 2 or 3 pounds during my period that might not be water weight. But I always lose it once the period is over. Learn to go with the ups and downs of life. Just don't let yourself go back to your old way of eating. One week of snacking or satisfying cravings isn't going to make you regain your weight. Endless overeating will.

appetite suppressant, might help some people but it just seems to make me eat faster. Take one day at a time and if you need some chocolate have some. We have all the same problems we had before WLS, but now we have a tool to help us. Use it , love it nurture it and it wont let you down. go to the mall and walk all day if you have to, checking out all the great new clothes you will look great in. I hate excercise, but I love the mall so I walk all over it. in and out of every store. it kills time and keeps my mind occupied so i dont think of food. Have a big ice tea . It will fill you up and take the edge off. Oh yeah this is one time durning the month you dont want to be laxed about you vitamins, they also help to keep your body from having too many cravings. good luck Terri

Hey Lori! I go through the same thing every month...and I do sgr binge! Chocolate or cookies tend to be my thing. I just crave it during the PMS'ing...then it is over. I just know that I will gain about 4 pounds...and I know it goes away as soon as I am done pms'ing. Good luck!!! Laurie

I do SF sweets when I get cravings but because I don't get that addictive blood sugar thing that I get from real sugar, one serving goes a long way. I'm off sugar for the most part because it just doesn't serve me well. I had the DS; it's not like I dump or anything. At a wedding or birthday I will have a thin slice of cake but I make sure I'm not hungry when I have it or I will want more. Also ... PMS cravings may tell you that you want all bad stuff but if you stick to SF and whole grains, your periods will be more mild. Hope this helps.
