Water retention...
I wanted to see if anyone could give me some examples as to how YOUR weight fluctuates due to water retention. At least, I think that's what it is! I generally stay around 145 lbs, but this last week have been up to 152 one day, down to 148 the next, and then up again to 150 the next day (Yes, I am a daily weigher!!). I'm blaming it on the fact that I should be starting my period soon ("should" as in mine is not regular unless I'm on birth control pills, but that's a whole nother post!) I've been exercising, drinking plenty of fluids, etc, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. I just wanted to see if anyone would mind sharing their experiences with this and if you've found anything that seemed to make difference.

My weight fluctuates by a couple of pounds at a time some days. I've been weighing daily for a long time and am used to the ups and downs and just fluff it all off. Well, most of the time, I do. Once in a while I whine but that gets me no where. LOL!
I've never found anything magical that will make it more consistent.

I weigh daily and my weight usually goes up or down a pound depending on the day. If I'm retaining water~pre period, due to high humidity, etc~it can go up 4 or 5lbs and then will drop back down within a few days. I haven't really found anything that helped with this problem, but it is annoying! I write my weight down on my calendar every day and sure enough, right before my period, it will jump up quite a bit! At least we know what the cause is so we don't have to panic though.

I retain water very badly. My weight can be up as much as 5 or 6 pounds in one day, but come morning it is down some. If you want to know if your retaining alot of water take you thumb and press down hard and hold on the front of your leg right on the shin bone. When you let up if there is a depression that stays , them your retaining. Depending on how deep the depression is will tell you about how much.
To get you body to release go on protein, protein, protein and plenty of fluids. you may be up all night in the bathroom but your body will let go of the excess.
