Food initiated chest pains?

Anyone else? Was hospitalized for a few days after having chest pains which led to passing out and hitting the pavement. Just lovely, eh? Anyway, after numerous tests... ultrasound of carotid arteries in neck, EKGs, echocardiogram and a stress test... my heart was given a bit old which was fabulous to know but didn't give me any answers. I can tell you that I've had slightly high liver enzymes for a few months which the doctor was watching. One was say 35 and one 70. The one that was 70 shot up to over 350 when I was tested in the hospital. They did a liver ultrasound while I was in the hospital which was normal and I had a CT scan a few months ago which didn't show anything either. Other than the liver enzymes... been okay up til now except that for several weeks prior it seemed like food was sitting a bit roughly and I found myself hitting the papaya enzyme often. Since my hospitalization I get the chest pains every day but they seem to be eating related. They aren't in one place and ebb and flow between sides. I also seem to have acid reflux. I saw my PCP last week and we both think it's Igor (my pouch) that's the problem. I see the gastroenterologist on Wednesday. Hope to get a scope done soon. I've also found that I am eating less - not by choice. I get full quicker. Anyone relate? Sounds familiar? Did you have ulcer? Reflux? Something else? Kathy

Hi, Not sure if this is similar or not but I was having chest area pains and it was determined to be as a result of a too high dosage of iron supplement. The pains disappeared within a couple of days of modification of the iron supplement. Haven't had chest pains due to food. Good luck! - cbf
