I have a list of my favorite high protein, low fat, low calorie foods and have been eating those same items since surgery. I thought we could share our own favorites so we could get ideas to add to each of our arsenals. My favorites are: Plain Greek Yogurt with fresh berries & splenda - 13g Protein Tofurky Italian sausage with tablespoon of marinara: 29g protein Smart Chili from Lightlife; 19g protein Smart TexMex from Lightlife; 18g protein (I use it as a dip with the 100 Cal. Wheat thins packet) Trader Joe's stuffed bell peppers Trader Joe's Just Chicken with their Tzatziki sauce (yogurt, garlic & dill) La Salsa's chili lime with steak salad And your favorites are?

Cheryl, I've got one! If you haven't found Textured Vegetable Protein yet, It's great. Super easy on the pouch and it mixes with anything And takes on the flavor of whatever you put it in. Textured vegetable protein, 1 oz. (30g) Calories: 80 Protein: 15g Carbohydrate: 9g Total Fat: 0.3g (and this is monounsaturated fat) Fiber: 6.0g (so total 'Net Carbs' 3gms ) *Excellent source of: Iron (10mg) I'm not able to have much regular Soy because I'm on Coumadin for a previous Heart valve replacement, But because Textured vegetable protein Is not as good a source for isoflavones (phytoestrogens) As are most soy products, it does not have the typical interaction Problems with my "blood thinner." The Soy actually Doesn't "mess with" the clotting factor, But does skew the test pro-time testing if they only use the Finger stick test rather than drawing a vile for testing. All I know about that, But the TVP is Great stuff, And per pound, about half the cost of chicken!!! I get the "Bob's Red Mill" brand at Kroger. Cool Thread....... Best Wishes- Dx
