Does anyone take CLA? It is supposedly good for helping to maintain muscle mass, as well as for maintaining a weight loss. I just picked some up at GNC yesterday. I'm usually pretty sketical about these things, and would love to hear others' input or experiences. Eileen

Welp it is like this. I was taking it and then was informed that the oil based stuff is no good for us, since fats and oils go right through us [that's why we take DRY vitamin E instead of those little softgels]. SOOOOOOOOOOO instead, I tale ALA, which is alpha linoleic acid, in dry form. It gives me the little energy boost and I am getting the benefit of the antioxidant qualities of the linoleic acid.

I found this listed on the bottle I looked at: People with a vitamin B12 deficiency should avoid alpha lipoic acid as its use may cause a worsening of symptoms. -- Makes me wonder if this is a good thing for people with a propensity for B12 deficiency. Deb

Probably not - but I take 1000 mg B12 sub and a 500 mg Intrinsi/B12, so I personally am covered! That is one of the reasons you HAVE TO READ THEM LABELS!!! If you don't, you might miss something important!
