NOT REALLY LOOSING!
If you follow all the postings on the main message board, you'll see this very question posted multiple times every day.
It is quite normal immediately following surgery for your body to take a short breather. You just came through major surgery and your body needs time to heal and get adapted to the new you, get the anesthesia out of your system. Your stall is very normal and the scale will move again.
Early on you may find that if the scale isn't moving, you are shrinking a lot. I had my first stall at 2 weeks after surgery. The scale didn't move for a week and a half, but I shrank from size 26 to size 24. Take your measurements and you'll find that other things are probably happening even if the scale isn't moving.
Another good piece of advice is to stop weighing yourself frequently. This is a sure path to insanity. Many people get rid of their scales and weigh only at their physician's offices. I got caught up in this, too, and eventually trained myself to only weigh first thing on Saturday morning.
Keep following the eating plan that your surgeon gave you, start getting some gentle exercise like walking, and the scale will move again. Being patient is the hardest part of the whole process.

I use the obesityhelp.com projected weight loss guide as my monthly guide. As a matter of fact, I am posting a question right now after I finish yours.
Remember there are 28-31 days in a month. So some months your loss will hang for a couple of weeks.
My first 3 weeks I think I lost 3 pounds. I didn't eat more than a few ounces every day. LITERALLY. Some of what I had on me MUST have been a result of the surgery. So keep that in mind.
Those *****duce quite a bit during the first days have a slow down about week 3 or 4. Thsoe who don't reduce during the first few weeks have a dramatic loss about week 4-6... it works out in the end.
Best Wishes.
I know you're feeling frustrated and a little panicky, but honestly, what you're experiencing is so-o-o common! I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong. Just keep doing everything you're supposed to--don't try to get creative and "fix" the process (ex.--eating LESS than what you're supposed to)--follow your surgeon's/nutritionist's plan, and the pounds will follow. Are you doing some exercising like walking? Getting in your water/fluids? Really--you'll be fine. In the long run, this won't matter a bit. And it will no doubt happen many times.
Welcome to the losing side. Won't be long til you'll be enjoying your weight loss!
