Hi Everyone, I had a tt on 5/5/06....I had my surgery in Mexico and have had complications w/the lipo/fat injections i had done. Due to the complications I only wore a compression garment for 9days and have spent the majority of the time since surgery in bed. I did of course get up and down to eat and use the bathroom and such but i never felt the "need" to walked hunched over and have been very numb in my tummy area. I am up and about more now and now feel the NEED to walked hunched and feel a strange tightness, not at the incision line higher up on the right side. Since I had my surgery in Mx and I will not longer be seeing that surgeon due to the complications I can not ask him if this is normal or not. So I am putting out there for you all, anyone have any input on this feeling I am starting to have? I did also post this question on the ps board. Take care, Melissa

I, too, never felt the 'need' to walk hunched over. My plastic surgeon would remind me not to stand up straight whenever I saw him. I think numbness in the tummy area is perfectly normal (from all that I have read). My area of numbness has been steadily shrinking and I have gained more feeling as time went on. I've got no imput on the tightness on the right side.

Thanks Lynda, it feels like the muscle is tight....the new ps who took me on here in the US can only speculate that it is due to the muscle tighting. I guess if it gets too bad I will have to address it with him again. Take care, Melissa

Hello Melissa - I'm almost two years post-tummy-tuck and still have numbing around the entire "T" incision - up down sideways. It actually worked in my favor last month, when I got my bellybutton pierced. Since there was no feeling, I didn't even know the needle had gone in, much less that the guy was done. As far as being hunched over - I had a LOT of it, the first two weeks, or so. In fact, my lower back hurt more then all the body wounds combined because of it. It's all unique to "us" and our bodies, thankfully. My girlfriend also had a tummy tuck by the same surgeon and it took her over a YEAR to be able to lay out completely straight in bed without extreme pulling. I didn't experience near those extremes. Good luck to you - Lei

May or may not be related, but my C-section from June 2005- the area where the incision was, is and has always been numb-like. I find it weird, dr's say its normal. My GBS incision was nothing like that.

I had some numbness and quite a tight feeling for a while. What's even bore bizarre though is I get an itch every once in a while and when I scratch it I feel it somewhere else or not at all. kp

Hi Melissa, so you finally went and had it done. I've sat with you at our support group meetings. Who is your doctor here in El Paso, I'm going to see Dr. Sauzer (I think that's how you spell it) in July. How much did you pay and was it really painful. I hope you get better soon. You've had to be off of work right? I remember you always saying you want it to do it but I can't believe you actually went and had it done, was this in Juarez?
