Thanks, the gown was sent to me for free by a member on here, Sara C. I wore it to a Christmas Ball. Only gown I have ever had on in my life. Sorry for the Christmas tree. I was playing around trying to resize and didn't see anywhere to preview the picture. Still don't. I hit a button and wala!!!! photo was changed. Is there a place in the user settings to preview before it changes?
Thanks to your help. Now, another question for you. Others are saying that we can preview our pictures on here before we post them but i can't see that feature. Soon as i uploaded the other picture, it popped up as my avatar. No preview. Am I missing something. Also, on the main board, Amy said there is an edit button and a delete button. Where do I find that? I have never seen those either.
ok, edit/delete button first. When you have a post up (or reply) there are a bunch of buttons at the bottom of each post/reply that say Reply, Quote, Report, Delete, Edit, Email. If you click edit - you can go in and edit your post. If you hit delete it removes your post. This will not work (at this time) on a starting post of a thread IF there have been replies posted. Once someone has replied to a post, to have that post removed a staff member has to remove it. Otherwise you can delete your own posts/replies.
Now for the picture. It is "supposed" to work that when you upload your photo and see it in the box of your user settings, that if you do not hit the save button, that you can remove it and close the page. When you open user settings page again, your old photo SHOULD still be there. I am hearing from some that sometimes this does not work. It's been reported, but....my suggestion is to preview your image somewhere else first - in your sig line for example, to make sure it IS 100 by 100 and not bigger. You can right click on an image and read its properties to make sure it's under 20k.
I hope this helps,
