Ladies: Menstrual Cycle?

Prior to WLS, I was on Depo Provera for a long period of time and quit having periods. I went off the Depo a good year before surgery and then shortly after surgery, my OB/GYN put me on Provera to jump-start my period. Everything was fine and good, and my cycle came back as expected. In September, I had my tubes tied and also had surgical treatment for cervical cancer. Afterwards, my period remained normal. My last cycle was in March, I'm not VERY overdue. I've had my tubes tied, and I know all the signs of pregnancy and I'm 99.99% I'm not pregnant, although I haven't taken a test yet. I feel fine, otherwise, but there's been a loss of libido, as well. I'm no-where near underweight, IMO. Just had my labs drawn, so we'll see if anything turns up there. Anyone else with this experience? I see my PCP on Monday, my Surgeon on June 2 and my OB/GYN next month as well - all regular follow-up appointments. Of course, I'll talk to them about it, but just wanted to see if anyone else has any ideas...

Yes I got my tubes tied and my cycle started to come around every 3 to 4 months and when it did it was rough...but I got a post from a lady that said that it could be my weight that is messing with my cycle...I just thought that it seemed strange that yours did the same as mine after your tubes were tied. I got my tied and the cycle slowed and the weight got fast LOL. go see your doctor and I pray that everything works out for the best. TY

Thanks for the info... Was yours normal for a few months following the tubal and then got weird? Mine was normal from say, November until March - regular as clockwork, actually, once I recovered from my tubal/conal... Huh...

I cant remember when mine started going wrong..its been 8 years LOL and I have 3 boys so I am lucky to remember yesterday LOL. I do hope that things get better for you. i haven't had my tubes tied but i did go off the pill to try and get pregnant and ever since then i haven't had a period. my doctor tried my one provera 2 times and still nothing! it's weird because i've been on the pill since i was 17 and was like clockwork every month! now it's non-existant. she's put me back on the pill for a month to see if that brings it back! it's kinda freaking me out right now. last period i had was in the beginning of february. sorry i don't have any info for you about your question but i wanted you to know you're not alone in having silly girly problems!! Hi Becky, I have had this same thing happen. I haven't had a period since mid-March. I had my tubes tied in September and heavy, but "normal" periods from October to March and now nothing. I have the signs of PMS (*****y, retaining water (grrr), hungry all the darn time) but no period. Glad to know I am not alone in that. Heather B

You know, that is soooo bizarre... I had MY tubes tied in March, extremely heavy but regular periods October to March and now nothing. I also have signs of PMS, as well.... I'm humming the them to Twighlight Zone right now.... lol I see my OBGYN in a few weeks, so I'll ask her about it then....
