Anyone having blackouts???

It's getting a little scary not to mention my body is taking a beating with hitting the floor. Any idea's what can cause it. YES....I plan on going to the doctor but was wondering what you guys thought. It only happens at night when I've been lying down or in the middle of the night and I have to get up for something and its not right after I stand up, its after I've been standing for a while then this wierd feeling comes over me thats hard to explain then boom........I wake up on the floor and I start breathing hard for a while until I gather myself together which usualy takes a few minutes. It's not my sugar......I know what that feels like and its totaly different. Any clue?

Sounds like low blood pressure, but I have been wrong before. Be careful, see your doctor soon (and perhaps buy a helmut for those late night bathroom runs).

I am.....I have a appointment next wed., just wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

I started having blackout about this time last year. I thought it was due to stress from moving and as the summer came in i thought it was from the heat. I once was walking thru my livingroom and the next thing i knew i was picking my self up from the floor. I found out in January that my iron level is a 2 and my H&H is extremly low. I am currently working with my pcp to raise it up. I had upper endoscopy to check for ulcer and everything with the pouch is fine with no ulcers. I am just not absorbing the iron so I am taking 2 iron tablets a day. Next month I will have another blood work up and if it hasnt risen they will start fusion treatments. My advise please call your doctor to check your blood work. I hope everything turns up fine. Best wishes
