I had my open Roux-en-Y Jan.14,2002. So I am 4 years post op. I had 150cm bypassed and I have a smaller than normal pouch. I have had to have my stomach stretched 4 or 5 times now and I am currently waiting to get another scope and stretching done soon. I suffer from chronic pain in my abdomen and nausea and vomiting. All tests seem to come back normal. I eat mainly soft foods, and I am starting to suffer soft calorie syndrome. I gave 20 pounds in the last few months from eating soft, high calorie foods. I am working hard to get back on track right now. I am so frustrated. I have to take lots of pain meds and other meds for nausea. It cuts down on my ability to work, etc. Is anyone else experiencing problems similar to these or has any ideas? Edith

Have you been checked for an ulcer? Everything you say leads me to think that could be the problem, but of course I'm not a doctor. Even if they didn't see an ulcer maybe your doctor would give you some antibiotics (treatment for ulcers) and see if it helps the problem. I've never had any wls problems but I do read the boards a lot and can say yes some people do have the same problems you are experiencing.
