At 1yr I hit surgeon's goal of 165lbs. At 16mths I am 4lbs from my personal goal of 150lbs.

(5) If you've regained was it due to reverting back to old eating habits or stopping your exercise?
I love to exercise, but I definitely see where going back to old eating habits could sabatoge me BIG time!

I am struggling with the emotional side of things right now and its very difficult.

Both eating bad and lack of exercise in a week will do it for me....I am a scale ***** so I don't ever let it get beyond the 3 lbs....then I tweak to get it off.

Very hard..I miss the days when it would just drop off no matter what I did or didn't do....Although I do know the importance of eating right and exercise. Very glad that I monitor now. That was the best thing I could do for myself.

Extremely hard!!
Even when I have gotten back on track with extra protein, not snacking, increased exercise I have not been able to get the 10 lbs back off. It's very discouraging. It causes me to go back to my old habits of snacking and not exercising.. I know I am better of than I was 100 lbs ago...but I did not get close to goal. At times I feel like a failure.

It's a daily struggle... but I still need to lose about 20 more lbs.... I met my surgeon's goal but still feel too fat at 196 lbs....

(1) How far out from surgery were you when you hit goal or quit losing? initially at 18 months I stopped losing, then I went to a NUT for some guidance around 21 months out, have taken off about 50 more in the last year, 28 lbs below my surgeons goal

I bounce around with -195 or -200, I am on maintainance w/ the help of my NUT we are adjusting my carbs weekly until we can find a happy medium

I can maintain if I put my mind to it I have a problem at times with sweets that is my down fall I must pull back from junk and only have a treat once in a while

Absolutely... Exercise is consistent.

(5) How hard has it been for you to maintain your weight? Extremely hard. It's scary. It's almost like having an eating disorder. No, I don't purge but that scale rules my world.

I quit looseing when I reached my goal at 16 mo after WLS

I lost 176lbs from a 26/28 to an 8/10 and small top

I am 2.5 years post op.

I gained 10lbs back but am back down,,,but i tend to go up and down with that 10lbs

Yes, not so much eating wrong things just eating and snacking to much...I discovered Russel Stoffer SF candy...but i dont get carried away with it.

Not that bad, but i do need to exercise again...and know food doesnt rule me anymore. Its not the most important thing in my life now.
