What to take for a migraine headache???

so what do you all take.... tylenol isnt cuttin it and just need something to relieve it.... i have had this now for 2 days and all i want to do is crawl up in a ball in the dark ... but since i cant bend at my knees that aint happenin...LOL so what do ya all take.... i called the docs office and the nurse said tylenol ..huh i wonder ....beings tylenol is in vicoden and it puts me out ... would that work???LOL i know not funny but really i have tried showers, and ice packs and tylenol it went away i think last night but i really couldnt tell bc the percoset knocked me out... nooooo i didnt take percoset for the headache i took it bc of my thighs.... k so i guess i need to quit typin so i can get a response....LOL

I don't know if we're "allowed" to take it but Excederin Migraine works wonders for me and if its still too much for even that then when you see you doc next time and if you get them often like I do ask for a drug called "Maxalt". Its awsome!!! Love it... I take one little tiny pill and in 10 minutes its totally gone. Even if its a really nasty migraine it kills it super fast!!! Saw your having to move... I just got my daughter from Jacksonville, NC. Military housing is terrible. They did the same thing to her last year. They moved her into this little tiny garage looking house and then moved her 2 months later cause they were building new houses and then they moved her again while her hubby was in Iraq. Perocets caused me headaches for me....how long were you on them? Perhaps that is the culprit! You may have to take them to get the headache to go away. I would suggest you call DR and let him know about the situation...My Dr gave me a lower pill to get me off the percoset....Tylenol 3 for a few days then I didn't have headaches anymore....I would definitely call the DR and ask what can be done. My wife has suffered from bad migranes for as long as we can remember. The only thing that helps her is Toradol. She has it in pill form and I also give her injections when they are really bad. Ask your Dr if this will help you. It has something to do with blood flow and capilaries I think. I do know it helps her when she is having an attack. She has tried all new meds to combat them but they just dont help like the Toradol. Not to mention that she had an alergic reaction to zomeg and had to be taken off the plane on a stretcher...... Did you try the imatrex.....It's a script....They have it in nose spry form now...So no tummy upset or absorbtion issues...Get better soon russ

Certain pain meds have the side effect of giving you headaches, and muscle cramps. I took tramadol because i have had chronic back bain from a herniated disk...lo and behold it had a nice side effect of head aches and muscle cramps. My chriopractor was the one who clued me in to this little bit of "info". Nice of the drug companies to make pain meds that give you more pain huh?

Ok here is my story. I was playing with a friends Dog a big dog.. I bent down to pick up the ball and he ran in the get the ball, and then he jumped up and his big head hit my left eye. I was almost knocked out. lets say I saw stars....And what a migraine I had it lasted for 3 day. And now it has been 5 years sence I had a migraine. But last week my son got a new truck lifted and he took me on a ride to Santa Monica and well 2 days later I got the ora that tells me I'm getting a migraine. So I took 2 vicodin and 1 roboxin never go the pain of the migraine... I'm also a year out. I don't wish the pain of a migraine on anyone. I think it the worse pain in the world. Even child birth is ok but not a migraine... Good luck with the medication,Sharon Lopez
