Topic: Hello I Am "NEW"...
Hello I am new to the walking board. I have been walking since my second week out and now I am 5 weeks out and walking about 4 miles a day. I have always loved walking because it's not only relaxing but it's a exercise that a person can do consistently on a daily basis without getting BORED...LOL So good luck to everyone and may you find new & exciting adventures on your daily walk

Walking is such a wonderful part of my life now -- the best part of the day for me! Before WLS I would walk but the results of my exercise efforts were so slow I soon became "comfortable on the couch" once again. Never again!

Boy you sound like me, I didn't care what the weather was , well except for thunder and lightening. LOL The most fun I had was when it was snowing. I tell ya it was snowing big times. Because the kind of snow it was I didn't have a problem with slipping. I felt like a kid walking in it. It was early morning and no one was out yet. only those who were trying to get to work. I walked my 2 miles at the time and came back feeling great telling the kids how much fun I had. I looked like a walking snowman with all that snow stuck to me. I feel the same way, if I miss a day it just doesn't feel right. Keep up the good job, I'm sorry to hear about your stomach problems. Hang in there**Hugs**

Congrats on your success, With what you are saying I would go to a doctor for my answers. any numbness and tingling should be looked into. it may be a sign of a problem, that can be fixed before it get worse. sorry I couldn't solve your problem. also to get more people on this board we have to invite them over, it will then build to be a supporting family. take care hon. **Hugs**

It's nice to get out and take a nice walk. I can't believe how before my wls I couldn't even walk to the drive way without feeling like my heart was going to come out. Now I walk all over the place I am up to 3 miles maybe 3 1/2. it feels great. I put on my headphones and I'm in my own little world. Meditation is good also. I remember having a problem that was worrying me so bad were I couldn't even sleep. Time when I went walking and return back home I was feeling good and with less worry and weight on my shoulders. I was able to deal with it. So walking to me is great and it is my main exercise. Congrats on walking 2.5 miles Girl, I'm so glad the weather is getting better, we all can get out there and do our thing. LOL take care**Hugs**

Topic: Is there anyone body out there?
I have been really disapointed. WHERE IS EVERYONE??? If there is anyone out there who actually comes to this post on a regular basis I would come more often also. I have a question. It might take a few weeks or months to get it answered but hopefully not!
I have been doing weight training for a little over a month now. My personal trainer says I need to build muscle more then loose the fat.
I am post op 10 months and my BMI is at 19%. But when I had my body
composition done, there wasn't any muscle tone. So my trainer said work out with the weights and don't really do much cardio until you can get some muscle on you. Well I now have muscle. I have a point. Really I do!
I recently started walking on the treadmill. But for some reason my feet are trying to go numb or they burn or they will also tingle. What's going on with that?
Thanks for any answers.
Misty
