As I am the only one using this board, this will just be a log of my walking. If anyone should roam this way and decide they like what I am doing feel free to join in! My challenge (you choose your own hours or miles) Walk 9 hours in the month of January. Walk 36 miles in the month of January. I will update daily or when I walk. Seven

Wow this board is dead! If there is anybody else out there, I would love to start a walking goal thread. You know, set a goal for the month and then post each day about your progress. If anyone is interested, let me know. Seven

Hi Becky. I just replied to your message, but it didn't show up. Maybe it will later. Good luck on your walking. It sure feels good to get out there, but I must admit that I am not only a fair weather walker, but I also like walking with my partner. It is usually my DH, but I am hoping my mall-walking friend will soon be well enough to walk the mall with me a couple of times a week too. Take care. Let's wear out our shoes! Peg

Hi Becky. That is good news! I am hoping to get back to walking on a more regular basis. I'm 3 months out since my second surgery, and life is getting good again. Keep up the good work, Becky. Peg

I have a great new walking partner. We met at the Space City 10-Miler about a month ago. We were both keeping the same pace and got to talking and it turns out that she lives near me. Exercising is enjoyable alone, but often better with a friend. And my first walking partner is feeling a little better and may be able to start walking again in another month or so. Good news all around! Becky

Becky, Not that this will help....but bank on your own efforts. It is difficult when you are depending on someone else to motivate you. I walk daily and enjoy burning my own CD's with motivating music and an upbeat tempo to keep me pushing the limits. Try music...it can do wonders for the work out! Diana
