You are too funny. I was picturing this beautiful trail and little chickadees hopping in the trees, instead Leslie Sansone. She's attractive and all, but really she just isn't the same. I would rather hear 'tweet, tweet' over 'one, two, three, four' anyday of the week. But, ya do what ya gotta do. Welcome to the challenge. Let's have fun! Seven

Topic: My February Goal
I am committing myself to walking a total of AT LEAST four hours this month. I am not sure how this will translate into miles, but I figure I will walk my dogs at least twice a week and that can be anywhere from 30-45 minutes. I can do the other with the WATP DVD I have. This is a goal I know I will be able to achieve. My biggest thing pre-WLS was setting too high of a goal. Susan }i{ 448/269 (why is it moving up?)/185???

Hello, Thanks for the terrific idea! I just returned from working out when I read your post. In addition to my daily circuit weight routine I walked 2 miles today in 35 minutes. I was pretty pumped up! I am setting my goal at 30 miles for the month of February. Thanks, Paula T. 12/20/05 -43 lbs

Topic: I accept your challenge!
Ok, really I am accepting my own challenge. I am going to commit to doing 10 minutes, two times a day on the WATP dvd for the first two weeks (5 times a week). On the third week of the month, I am commited to increasing my time to 15 minutes, twice a day (5 times a week). I also commit to posting my compliance/non-compliance every single day, without fail! In March, I will make a new commitment with an increase. Just Do It!

Topic: I AM GOING TO DO IT!!!!
I have just been looking for the kick in the butt to get started walking again. I actually love to walk. It is a time to unwind, center myself, relax, be alone with God, sing, listen to the birds, feel the wind in my hair, smell the sunshine in the pines. Living in the cold North, in February, I need to dust off my Walking Away the Pounds Video and use it for a couple of months. My body feels the difference when I walk. My mood feels the difference when I walk. My Jeans feel the difference when I walk. My goal for February will be to walk 3 miles 5 times a week or 15mi. a week. In order to accomplish this I will spend the first of my morning walking. I will not turn on the computer until AFTER I have had my walk. I CAN DO THIS!!!!!

I have been using the Walking Forum as my own personal space to log my walking goals. I have decided to expand a little and issue a challenge to all the walkers in OH land. HOW IT WORKS Set a goal in minutes or miles for the month of February. Every time you walk, go to the walking forum and log it. At the end of the month see if you reached your goal. It is that simple! EXAMPLE I will walk 10 hours in the month of February. or I will walk 25 miles in the month of February. These can be any type of walks - around the neighborhood, the track, treadmill, mall walks, Walk Away the Pound videos, what ever. But they do need to be walks, not exercise in general. Come on, let's get out there and walk! http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/walking/ Seven

Ok, I'm going for 40miles for the month of February. I usually do the 3mile Walk Away the Pound Express at least 3x's per week and then I added on a few more miles just for good measure, LOL! Hope I can make it!! Thanks for the challenge~this will make me want to stick with it just that much more! Tracy B 328/162/150

Hi Seven, I just came upstairs from a 1 mile trip on my treadmill, and saw your post! The treadmill is new to me and I am very out of shape. I have been recording my time and distance, but I have only gotten up to a mile tops! I accept your challenge! Thanks for being there, you have given me another level of accountability. I will have my RNY-lap on the 9th of Feb, my birthday...planned it that way, symbolic to me....a new life. Thank you again, Seven! I will be reporting daily, unless I get sidetracked by an emergency!
