I paid $14,600 to Dr. Rumbaut in Monterrey, Mexico for a lap RNY. Included all costs except for airfare and hotel (before and after the hospital). Prior to deciding to go to Mexico, the Wish Center just south of Seattle quoted me $21,000 to $28,000, give or take a thousand or two, depending if you had open or closed RNY and the number of tests that were ordered prior to the surgery. Hope that helps. -Pam

Amy, I live in Kennewick too! I was a self pay. Dr. David Lauter Kirkland, Evergreen Hospital 2/16/05 about $24.000 when the smoke settled. My mother loaned the money and I'm making a monthly payment to her. Down 137 lbs. and feeling great. There's a support group in Richland on the first Thursday of the month if you're interested. Karen

Depends what kind of surgery you need. Dr. Ki Hyun Oh of Federal Way charges $12,800 for lap band surgery, including everything (surgery, anesthesiologist, hospital stay, etc.).
