I NOT ONLY WANT THIS SURGERY, I NEED IT!! I AM A 42 YR OLD PROFESSIONAL MORBIDLY OBESE, (350 AT LEAST), AND MY BODY IS FALLING APART. I WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH SPONDYLOLITHSESIS WITH SPONDYLOLYSIS. I HAVE HEEL SPURS, OSTEOARTHRITIS, BORDER LINE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, PRE-DIABETIC. MY INSURANCE COMPANY HAS OBESITY AS AN EXCLUSION. THEY COVER SMOKING AND EVERYTHING ELSE. WITH MEDICARE NOW SAYING OBESITY IS A DISEASE, DOES ANYONE SEE ANY CHANGES IN LAWS COMING FOR INSURANCE COMPANIES? I NEED HELP, GETTING THIS TO GO!!! THERE IS A THIN PERSON INSIDE WANTING OUT.

I wish you luck Diane. I have Premera Blue Cross but they didn't cover it either. Thank goodness, I also had the military who did. I truely wish you luck. Arlene

Hi Diane, It must also depend on who your employer is. I also have Premera Blue Cross and my surgery was covered in full. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with the insurance to get this life changing surgery. Kristi
