How did your pre-op appointment go today?

Hi Donna, Everything went great! It was a long appointment - 5.5 hours - but we (hubby and I) met with everyone once again. The surgery was laid out, and expectation for in-the-hospital and at-home recovery were outlined. Dr Alperovich spent about half an hour with us, going over any possible complications and went over the surgery itself. I definitely felt that I was well taken care of and had all our questions answered. Everything is a go and I am to report to Valley at 5:30 a.m. next Tuesday - just a week from today. And yes - the liquid protein diet for 14 days is required prior to the surgery - it's to shrink the size of the liver. With living on the islands, we didn't get home until 10 last night. Oh-by the way, found out that hubby can stay in the hospital room with me, so he doesn't have to stay in a motel by himself and he will be at my beck and call. Talk to you again soon, Cele
