Lab work

My doctor requires blood drawn for analysis every four months. Apparently I can do this anywhere, and send him the results. Can anyone tell me roughly what this costs, and any suggestions on how to save money on this? I'm self-pay, so I'd hate to find out I've been spending way more than necessary because I didn't think to ask.

Well I just recently got my full labs done at Qwest Diagnostic and it cost me just under $300. Be careful though since each lab and test is different so this is only a ballpark figure
