Consult Update

Hi Everyone, Well I went for my consult with Dr. Rawlins today and he told me I will have to do a 6 month Dr. supervised diet and lose at least 50 lbs before he will do the surgery.

I didn't have to go through this myself at 305 pounds but I wish you lots of luck and the best in this supervised weight loss before surgery. Remember that the doctor has your best health and interest in mind with his requirements. That said, have you gone to a anyone else for a second opinion about WLS sooner? I used the WISH Center in Renton, WA and they were great. They have strict requirements pre-op but as I said no supervised diet to lose weight. Again, best of luck and keep writing. We are all here.
