38 days and counting

Nov 23 seems so far away. I had my pre op stuff done friday and then I have to see Dr Bright on the 11/11 and then.......... I would love to talk with anyone from my area. I am planning on going to a support group on 10/21 at Rockwood clinic. I am excited about going. I just hope I can make this work. After so many years of failures its scarey. Julie

Congratulations on winning the insurance battle, and getting your surgery date! I think all of us are here in this place because we have "failed" at all the diets. But you know, if the planet were to go into starvation mode, we'd be the survivors, since our bodies know how to shut down our metabolism and keep us alive. So just keep reading, and use the "tool" that is this surgery -- do everything your doctor / nutritionist advise, and you should come out the long-term winner over your weight! Think about next Thanksgiving -- and imagine how you'll be looking and feeling then. Take care, Susan
