Seattle Area Folks: Cost for lap-band surgery?

Hello, I'm new to the OH board. I'm planning to have an AGB/lap-band surgery this year, hopefully mid-Dec. My dad is paying for the surgery because my insurance will only cover RNY and my preference is for the lap-band procedure. Wondering if anyone in WA has had the lap-band surgery and if so, how much did the whole thing cost (doc, asst, anesthesia, hospital)? I was estimating about $20-25K for the whole thing and want to know if I'm smokin' crack for thinking that. Thanks. LM

I recommend going to the WISH Center if you want to self-pay. They do both RNY and Lapband. I am paying $23,000 for my RNY, and I know that Lap band is much cheaper than that, although I don't know the exact price. You can find the WISH Center by going to www.wishcenter.org.
